Bird Studies Canada’s Marsh Monitoring Program partnered with Environment Canada’s Canadian Wildlife Service to evaluate how current controlled hydrologic regimes of Lake Ontario has been related to marsh bird abundance, occurrence, richness and diversity.  This report provides a synopsis of this work and provides recommendations to the International Joint Commission’s Environmental Technical Working Group, which will be incorporated into decisions on how to manage lake Ontario’s hydrology in the future.
