The Quality Assurance Project
Plan (QAPP) outlines the methods used to ensure that information
collected through the MMP is of the highest possible quality. The
document includes a description volunteer training, standardized
survey and other protocols, and data handling and storage. The QAPP
was prepared in response to a requirement of the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency, a key supporter of the MMP. This document may also
be of interest to those who use MMP data or others interested in
quality assurance and control for monitoring programs. The U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency approved the MMP's QAPP in March 2000.
