Dr. Arnold Boer

 

Until his retirement in May 2002, Arnold Boer was the Director of the Fish and Wildlife Branch, Department of Natural Resources and Energy in New Brunswick. He worked to establish the NB Wildlife Trust Fund and is a member of the Wildlife Council that oversees the Fund. Previously he established the New Brunswick Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit in partnership with the University of New Brunswick. He served as the Research Unit’s first Director for 3 years. Arnold is a member of the Eastern Habitat Joint Venture Board and Black Duck Joint Venture Board under the North American Waterfowl Management Plan (NAWMP), and is a member of the NAWMP Plan Committee. He is also a member of the Trinational Committee overseeing the North American Bird Conservation Initiative (NABCI), the Canadian Wetlands Council, and the Executive Committee of the International Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies.
