I was raised at Long Point, but never realized how much I
enjoyed the area until I left for University in 1984. My first job in the
"environmental" field was assisting in the release of Bald Eagle fledglings for
the Canadian Wildlife Service on Long Point. This was followed by work on Red-Shouldered
Hawks, Peregrine Falcons, black ducks, and beavers. In 1993 I returned to Southern
Ontario after completing the research component of my Master's on Bald Eagle habitat. In
1995 I finished my Master's and began working for BSC/LPBO on the Canadian Lakes Loon
Survey. Today I hold the position of Aquatic Surveys Officer where I am involved with the
management of the Marsh Monitoring Program and the Canadian Lakes Loon Survey. My husband
Dave, our daughters, Emily and Kailey, and I live in Port Rowan. |
