Phil Taylor
Phil Taylor holds an Industrial Research Chair in the Atlantic Cooperative Wildlife Ecology Research Network, at Acadia University, in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada. He completed his Ph.D. in 1993 at Carleton University with Gray Merriam, studying how damselflies move through landscapes. He then studied as a Post Doc at University of Alberta in 1994 before moving to his present position. He likes to follow things around in landscapes, and ask questions about how their behaviors at fine scales influence patterns of distribution and dynamics at broader scales. He still follows things like damselflies and dragonflies, but is also interested in other taxa such as frogs, salamanders and birds respond to the same landscapes. He is executive director of the Resilience Alliance and sits on the boards of several conservation organizations.
