Ryan's lifelong interest in birds
led to his enrolment in the undergraduate biology program at Queen's
University. He then decided to finish his undergraduate education at the
University of Western Ontario (UWO) where he received his B.Sc. in Zoology
in 1998. He immediately enrolled in the graduate program under the
supervision of Dave Ankney at UWO. His field research on the effects of
increased food availability during the breeding season of marsh-nesting
birds in eastern Ontario was completed in 2001. Ryan received his Ph.D in October 2002. |
